Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about agentic commerce execution.

What is agentic commerce execution?

Agentic commerce execution refers to AI agents initiating and completing purchase transactions on behalf of users. Clarify provides the trust infrastructure—consent proof, receipts, and risk controls—that makes this safe for merchants and compliant for enterprises.

How do you prove user consent?

Each transaction includes a signed consent artifact that cryptographically binds user intent → cart snapshot → payment authorization. The signature is tamper-evident and includes replay protection (nonce + expiry). Users can revoke consent at any time.

Do you store card data?

No. Payment credentials flow directly between the user and their payment service provider. Clarify orchestrates consent and generates receipts, but never handles raw card data.

How do refunds and chargebacks work?

When a dispute arises, Clarify generates an evidence pack containing signed consent proof, cart snapshot at time of purchase, timestamps, and agent session context. The merchant submits this to their PSP and handles the actual refund.

Are you the merchant of record?

In our standard gateway model, the original merchant remains merchant of record. We offer limited MoR availability for select partners under specific compliance requirements—contact us to discuss.

What is a dispute pack?

A dispute pack is an exportable evidence bundle containing all artifacts needed to defend a chargeback: consent proof, cart/price snapshot, confirmation flow evidence, agent logs, and timestamp chain.

What data does the AI agent see?

Agents see product information, pricing, and availability—never payment credentials or sensitive PII. All payment and confirmation flows happen through secure Clarify UI, isolated from the LLM.

What platforms do you support?

We're starting with Shopify and WooCommerce plugins, expanding to Magento and custom/headless platforms. Contact us if you have specific platform requirements.

How long does integration take?

Varies by platform complexity. The minimal adapter pattern requires implementing Quote, Execute, and Receipt endpoints. Pilot partners receive white-glove integration support.

What does it cost?

We're onboarding design partners with pilot pricing based on volume and deployment scope. No public pricing yet—contact us to discuss your use case.

Which LLMs / agent platforms work with Clarify?

Clarify is model-agnostic. Any agent runtime that can call external tools (HTTP APIs, MCP servers, or function calling) can integrate. Examples include agents built on Google's LLM stack, Amazon Bedrock-based agents, OpenAI-compatible runtimes, and self-hosted models. See our Compatibility page for details.

Do I need to choose a single model provider?

No. Clarify integrates at the execution layer. Your agent runtime can evolve across providers without changing your merchant adapter. Switch from one LLM provider to another, or use multiple providers simultaneously—your Clarify integration stays the same.
